3.Campaign Contributions
Campaign contributions made through this Website are governed by Ontario's Municipal Elections Act, 1996, and other applicable election rules. By making a contribution, you confirm that:
- You are an individual who is a resident of Ontario. Corporations, trade unions, unincorporated associations, other candidates or political parties, and government entities are not permitted to contribute.
- The contribution is made from your own funds, and is not being reimbursed or funded by anyone else.
- Your total contributions to this campaign do not exceed $1,200, and your total contributions to all candidates for the same office in this election do not exceed $5,000. You are responsible for tracking your own contributions to other candidates, since the campaign cannot see donations made elsewhere.
- Contributions of more than $25 are made by a method (such as a credit card, debit card or other electronic payment) that clearly shows the source of funds; cash contributions are accepted only in amounts of $25 or less.
Contributions can only be accepted during the official campaign contribution period, which runs through December 31, 2026. Contributions received outside this period will be returned or otherwise handled in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
Every contribution will receive a receipt. Contributions to a municipal election campaign in Ontario are not eligible for a provincial or federal income tax credit, and no tax receipt will be issued.
As required by law, donors whose total contributions exceed $100 will be listed by name and address on the Campaign's financial statement, which is filed with the City Clerk and becomes a public document. By contributing more than $100, you acknowledge that this information will be disclosed publicly as required by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
Online payments may be securely handled by an independent payment provider and will also be subject to that provider's terms, security measures and privacy practices. The Campaign reserves the right to refuse, return or refund any contribution that it believes, in good faith, does not comply with applicable law.

- If you request a campaign lawn sign, please provide accurate contact and location information and make sure you have the appropriate permission for the sign to be placed on the property.
- The information you provide may be used by authorized campaign team members, volunteers or service providers to arrange the delivery, placement, maintenance or removal of the sign.
