Year 1 — Listen, Review and Plan

Understand where we are and build a responsible plan.

  • Listen to residents across Mississauga.
  • Review City services, spending and current priorities.
  • Assess the condition and capacity of City infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities to improve transit, roads, safety and community services.
  • Begin developing a Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.
  • Publish clear priorities and an achievable action plan.

Year 2 — Invest and Take Action

Begin investing in the areas residents need most.

  • Start improvements identified during the Year 1 review.
  • Invest in road, facility and neighbourhood maintenance.
  • Work with Council and MiWay to improve transit reliability.
  • Modernize permits, licences and City purchasing processes.
  • Strengthen community safety programs.
  • Support social, recreational and community initiatives.
  • Publish measurable results and update the action plan.

Year 3 — Grow and Strengthen

Build on the progress and expand successful programs.

  • Strengthen partnerships with community organizations and local businesses.
  • Work with school boards and other levels of government.
  • Support responsible housing near suitable transit-connected areas.
  • Help small businesses grow and create local jobs.
  • Expand the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan across the city.
  • Improve accessible programs for youth, seniors and diverse communities.
  • Continue measuring results and responding to residents.

Year 4 — Complete, Report and Keep Delivering

Finish key priorities and provide an honest public report.

  • Complete projects carried forward from the first three years.
  • Measure results against the original roadmap.
  • Clearly explain what was completed and what remains unfinished.
  • Publish the next steps for Mississauga.
  • Keep City Hall transparent, accountable and responsive.
  • Continue listening and reporting back to residents.

Year 1 — Understand & Plan

1 Make Mississauga Preventive

Commission an honest audit of aging infrastructure (water, sewers, roads, MiWay capacity) as the foundation for everything that follows.

2 One Legible Total Tax Bill

Publish a single, plain-language total tax bill every budget cycle, starting in Year 1 and continuing every year of the term — so residents always know exactly what they're paying and why.

Year 2 — Report & Invest

3 Make Mississauga Supportive

Cut permit and licensing wait times, simplify procurement, and run workshops that help local businesses win city contracts.

4 Make Mississauga Safer

Fund CPTED design, by-law enforcement, and a real Community Safety and Well-Being Program, backed by visible police presence.

5 Make Mississauga Walkable

Direct investment into more reliable MiWay service and coordinated construction scheduling.

Year 3 — Grow & Connect

6 Make Mississauga Affordable

Speed up housing construction with faster site-plan approvals and calibrate development charges to deliver purpose-built rental in transit-connected areas.

7 Make Mississauga Inclusive

City Hall in Every Language Policy: Deliver City Hall communications and consultations in the languages residents actually speak, deepening connection with Mississauga's diverse communities.

8 Make Mississauga Strong

Strengthen partnerships with businesses and community organizations, and hold the line on unreviewed hyperscale data-centre approvals until studies are in.

Year 4 — Keep Delivering

9 Ethical City Hall

Lengthen independent Integrity Commissioner terms and keep contested decisions debated in the open with sustained accountability.

10 Make Mississauga Responsive

Continue measuring results and publishing a clear, honest accountability for Mississauga residents through the full term, reporting back all 4 years, every year.
