Ana Luisa — Mission

Why Ana Luisa Is the Right Choice.

Keep What's Right. Improve What's Wrong. For families. For businesses. For everyone in Mississauga. Make Mississauga Better — Together.

Why She's Running

Ana Luisa strongly believes in democracy and the importance of active community participation. When residents participate, share their concerns and vote, they help choose the leaders who make decisions affecting their everyday lives.

Municipal leadership influences how tax dollars are used for public safety, economic growth, housing and development, roads, infrastructure, transit and essential community services.

This responsibility is what motivates Ana Luisa to run for Mayor.

She is not seeking public office for a title, personal recognition or political advancement. She is running to serve residents, bring practical leadership to City Hall and help build a stronger future for Mississauga.

The Plan

Ana Luisa Is Running to Make Mississauga…

01

Responsive

Build a City Hall that listens, communicates clearly and remains accountable to residents.

02

Affordable

Work to keep the City-controlled portion of property taxes responsible and predictable by reviewing spending and finding efficiencies first.

03

Accessible & Better Connected

Improve roads, sidewalks, transit connections and neighbourhood planning so residents can move around the city more safely and easily.

04

Supportive

Encourage local economic growth, support small businesses and simplify unnecessary City processes.

05

Inclusive

Ensure every community feels welcomed, respected, represented and heard.

06

Prepared & Preventive

Review and strengthen the systems, procedures and infrastructure that keep Mississauga safe, reliable and well-managed.

Ana Luisa will protect what is working, improve what needs attention and bring people together to Make Mississauga Better.

Campaign Platform

The Challenges Are Real.

Mississauga is growing, but families, businesses and essential City services are facing increasing financial and infrastructure pressures.

!

Rising Property Taxes

In 2025, Mississauga homeowners experienced an average 9.2% increase in the total residential property-tax bill. Approximately 3.3 percentage points came from the impact of the City's budget, while 5.9 percentage points came from Peel Region's portion.

!

Growing Transit Demand

MiWay reported strong ridership growth, placing greater pressure on transit services and infrastructure. The City's existing Central Parkway and Malton facilities have reached capacity and cannot accommodate future fleet growth.

Major Infrastructure Needs

Mississauga's Transit and Road Infrastructure Plan identifies the transportation improvements required to support growth over the next 20 years. Delivering these projects will require responsible planning, clear priorities and strong partnerships with other levels of government.
