SHTR was registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in 1998 by academics with national and international standing. What began as a research society has grown into a multi-programme organisation spanning education, youth skilling, community service, and academic publishing.

About Us
Our story is a matter
of public record
The Society for Human Transformation & Research was registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in 1998, bearing Registration Number 33252. It was founded by academics with national and international standing who believed that research, education, and community service should operate under one roof — not as separate initiatives, but as an integrated system.
In 1999, that vision took physical form with the launch of the Delhi School of Professional Studies & Research (DSPSR), a GGSIPU-affiliated institution offering BBA and doctoral programmes. The same year, the first international seminar was convened — beginning an annual series that continues to this day.
Over the following decades, SHTR added a peer-reviewed academic journal (Delhi Business Review), a Rotaract chapter under Rotary District 3012, a National Service Scheme unit with 200+ volunteers, a DDU-GKY rural skilling centre, and CASRD — a research cell working on scholarship and grant awareness for minority communities.

DDU-GKY
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana is the flagship rural youth skilling programme of the Government of India, tied to Skill India, Digital India, and Make in India. SHTR operates as a training partner under this scheme.
Key Statistic
180 million rural youth aged 18–34 in India — 69% of the national youth population. Approximately 55 million from the poorest families, with no or marginal employment. DDU-GKY exists to bridge that gap.
Target age group: 15–35 years. Training covers industry-relevant skills with assured placement support.
National Service Scheme
"Not Me But You" — the NSS motto that defines SHTR's volunteer wing. With 200+ active volunteers, the unit runs a sustained calendar of community service activities.

Rotaract Club of SHTR
Operating under the parent Rotary Club of Delhi Maurya (Rotaract District 3012), the club has a documented history of 12 community service events — from blood donation camps and winter clothing drives to adult literacy programmes and langar distribution.

DSPSR
The Delhi School of Professional Studies & Research has been running GGSIPU-affiliated programmes since 1999–2000. What began as a BBA programme has expanded to include BIS and PhD/doctoral research, with the D.CIT (Centre for Information Technology) as an additional academic unit.
